Product Description

A 12V, 1.4kW direct-drive starter motor designed for selected older Ford applications, including the F100 and F250.

This unit features a 9-tooth pinion gear, clockwise rotation and short-nose configuration. It is commonly associated with older Ford manual-transmission applications using this particular starter arrangement.

Important Fitment Information

This is the SHORT-NOSE version.

The drive sits approximately 6mm at rest and this starter should not be confused with the corresponding long-nose configuration.

Important: This unit is not interchangeable with STR8002 (Long Nose).

Before ordering, compare the nose length, mounting arrangement, 9-tooth pinion, voltage, power rating and existing starter dimensions to ensure the correct unit is selected.
